The Hanged Man

Funny, how “The Hanged Man”, 12th of the Major Arcana, just decided to pop in my head today. The occurrences of its presence throughout my day are now very obvious, once I sat and meditated on why this thought popped in my mind.

Major changes are occurring and I AM excited and looking forward to what is to come.

The Hanged Man deals with GROWTH. Meditate on this archetype to help break old habits, patterns and behavior that hinders growth. VII (12) has to do with careful planning, orderly growth and spiritual development.

The planet in accordance with “The Hanged Man” is Neptune.

Neptune deals with self-sacrifice and idealism.

As some already have learned, building a brand is so much work, work I enjoy, nonetheless it’s work because it’s not just a hobby. I AM passionate about how I am building MY TABLE.

Them Changes

There was once a time I was afraid to sleep in the dark. As a child, my imagination ran rampant, without the stimulants. Remember? When imagination was valued, when originality was…original.

The darkness is where we, as individuals can be reborn over and over again, as much as we allow ourselves to.

A time of darkness is here…silently waiting…listening…feeling the fear and ignorance that has been bestowed upon us all.

A time of awakening and rebirth is nigh.

Strange Grass…

In my solitary ceremonies in the hills, worshipping with fire and sword, with water and dagger, and with the assistance of a strange grass that grows wild in certain parts of MASSHU, and with which I had unwittingly built my fire before the the rock, that grass that gives the mind great power to travel tremendous distances into the heavens, as also into the hells, I received the formulae for the amulets and talismans which follow, which provide the Priest with safe passage among the spheres wherein he may travel in search of the Wisdom

What is this ‘strange grass’ the Mad Arab speaks of? I have yet to do a thorough research, but what comes to mind is marijuana. I can be wrong because there are others plants that induce this same experience.

Besides the popular trend marijuana has become in these times, it is a beneficial, natural medicine. There are other ways to consume marijuana other than smoking it. It depends on what the person needs and is looking for. As well as THC and CBD levels, all factor in what will work for the patient.

Marijuana is used not only for medicinal purposes but used in certain rituals in circles of  the indigenous. For example, one may use marijuana to get in a transcendental state, to perform a rite. As mentioned before, I cannot be so sure marijuana is the plant the Mad Arab described, but “strange grass” is a great clue.

Her Moon

Associated with emotions, instincts and dreams, the moon illuminates with mystical energy. In Alchemy, Monday nights- early mornings are the perfect time to manifest Moon Energy. It is the perfect time for mothers, all women in general, to rest and regenerate, if at all possible, and it is, even if just for 5 minutes. Take 5 minutes to listen to a favorite song, eat a quick, delectable snack, or just sit still and JUST BE (present), for 5 minutes and give thanks.

My individuality was not accepted as a child, growing up, so I hid. I kept a lot inside and laughed hysterically on the outside. I was in danger of losing myself, I almost did. Deep within I did not understand my pain, at the time. People suffering and dieing all over the world made me extremely sad. It was hard going about life and feeling I had no one I could relate to.
I began looking into witchcraft, spells, synchronization and then everything began to make sense. I was alone but did not feel alone anymore.
Pay attention to your passions, your energy…everything you’re searching for is already within. Take that risk and love yourself genuinely and boldly. Go forth.

Fast.

What comes to mind when ‘fasting’ comes up? Has this topic ever seemed worthy to check out?

(v.) abstain from all or some kinds of food or drink, especially as a religious observance.

Everything I am sharing is from experience. I never did any deep research on fasting, it’s just something I began practicing as part of my way of making my relationship with God more intimate.

Fasting is not an easy practice, but I highly recommend it to anybody dealing with depression, feeling lost within, or wanting to change for the better. Your (gut) has everything to do with well-being. Remember, “You are what you eat.” Our (gut) needs to rest sometimes, overworking with everything we feed ourselves and digesting all of that food and beverage.

Fasting gives our insides the rest it needs and gives us the chance of self-reflection. Start out slow. Too much in the beginning can be detrimental to health. I recommend, not eating any solids from the time of sunrise until lunch time. During that time, make sure you have a quiet space, have showered or bathed, DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN ANY RUNNING OR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF THE LIKE (THIS INCLUDES SEX), although breathing and low intensive yoga exercises are best while fasting. I will ad that masturbation is an exception, only if you’ve learned to master directing your sexual energy in areas of the body that may be blocked. When you begin to fast more, make sure to increase the hours as well. For example, begin from sunrise (around 5-6 AM) and instead of until the afternoon, or lunchtime, go until the evening, or dinner time. As your practices become more advanced, you will begin to fast at days at a time. For example, I fasted for 3 days and nights, consecutively. Also, I recommend journaling EVERYTHING during this time. Only drink water, tea sweetened with honey or real fruit juice. Write and/or speak everything that may be cluttering your mind and heart. Say a prayer or mantra or positive self-affirmations throughout this time of fasting, meditation.

Practice fasting once a week for a month, then move on to 2-3 days every week, and then, as long as you are committed, diligent and consistent, fast up to 5-6 days at a time, once a month. Within 3-5 months, fasting and its benefits should be changing you from within. You will definitely begin to notice a change your first day/week. At the end of you fast, do not overeat. Eat mindfully, eat a balanced meal, do not be afraid of homemade treats, i.e(slice of pie, cake, a cookie or 2 or 3). Notice, “homemade”, store bought is okay too, but homemade is always made with simple, real ingredients, with love.

Fasting allows one to be aware, mindful of what’s going on in his/her own body. Listen to your body and respect it. You will be tempted to not pull through, but complete your fast each and every time. It will only benefit you.

Again, this journey is not easy but beneficial for health, mind, body, soul.

Ever feel as if this world is yours, to protect? It’s a heavy burden, feeling the pains of the earth ever so deeply, yet at the same time, discovering all of its natural wonders that give you a feeling of faith that everything is as it’s supposed to be. These experiences I’ve lived through since a child. Still, as an adult, I feel so deeply, only able to maneuver with it better.

wellness : n. the quality or state of being healthy in body and mind, especially as the result of deliberate effort.

Everything begins with the mind. Living with depression and having been diagnosed as schizoeffective, I’ve found these practices to be helpful, while refusing medication. Maybe this is regurgitated information for most, but should be utilized. Practice active mindfulness, daily. Any negative thoughts, actively counteract with something positive. Speak positively until that negative thought is banished. Be grateful for what is at this present moment and all that is desired will find its way. Now, practice with food. “You are what you eat.”, is true. Balance is what counts here. Raw fruits and vegetables, grains and legumes are great for nourishment. Participate in physical and breathing exercises daily. Also, read daily, keep the mind active and learning.

Along with the practices used above, sativa strains of marijuana and cbd capsules have also helped with daily living. The mind calms and declutters. Focus is attained effortlessly. If eating is/has been an issue, marijuana is the problem solver, speak with an expert and learn which strains would be best for you and your lifestyle.
Lastly, pay attention to those around you. Pay attention to your energy, who amplifies it and who drains it. Make a conscious decision to stay away from those who drain your energy, no matter whom. This life on earth is yours, LIVE. If getting away from someone who may be a threat to your well-being, know that there is help out there. If you feel as if you can trust no one, TRUST YOURSELF. The answers will always be found within, just LISTEN.
